 HOMES  DAMAGED  BY  POWER  SURGE!

According to reports, a storm on April 17th felled a power line belonging to Oncor, the power distribution company for TXU.  The power line fell and hit a HILCO power line of lesser voltage, sending higher voltage directly into homes and destroying air conditioners, refrigerators, washers, fluorescent lighting, and other electrical devices.

Both Oncor and HILCO have reportedly denied any liability for the damage, which has been in the thousands of dollars per home.

This story was aired on Monday, May 5th, at 10:00 p.m. by NBC 5 in Dallas/Ft. Worth.
